My grease gun broke today...

So I was thinking about upgrading to a cordless grease gun. I have used pneumatic ones and like them so I figured I would like a cordless one. I'm already setup for 18v Dewalt stuff so I thought I would zoom on over to dewalt's website and have a look.... But they don't offer a cordless grease gun?!?? seriously? lol....

What are my other options? maybe even one that will work with 18v dewalt battery packs?

I am a Dewalt 18V XPR guy also. Many Dewalt tools.

I am not aware of other brand tools that use the Dewalt 18V battery but there certainly could be.

The cordless ones come in 12V and 18V. Lincoln (welders) seems to be the prominent name out there.

In the end I could not justify a cordless grease gun. (And I only need approval from myself).

I have 2 lever and one pneumatic. One lever has marine grease.

While I might walk out to a trailer in the drive parking area and use my cordless impact, I do not see the same being true with a grease gun. Most of the time what I am greasing is in or near the garage. A cordless grease gun does not really do much more than a lever grease gun. The same is not true for an impact wrench.

Not sure if you are a pro, ie...make money with your tools! If not, cordless is great til you have to keep buying batteries. They sure are handy and lots of times worth while but I've come to appreciate corded tools a lot! Especially with higher energy tools like saws.

I have an air powered one and a manual one. I didn't want the issues of batterys that just die and cost $$$ to replace. Besides...most cars don't even have fittings anymore.

I use them mainly to grease farm equipment.

I would get a pneumatic one cuz they are awesome when your near a air compressor, but often I am not. But at the same time I like the freedom of a manual one. So I thought cordless would be a good balance.

Just wish I could get a dewalt so I wouldn't have to mess with a different battery/charger setup.

I understand and see why you would want a battery one. Having one that uses a Dewalt battery like your other tools would be a win/win!
