My first visit to a tool truck

I think Auto Mechanic is finally avoiding them.
They bit me again lol. But only for a couple things. 2 axle nut sockets because they get beat to snot trying to take axle nuts off and the cheap ones wear out fast so I just bit the bullet and got the Snap-on ones. I was also going to buy a large wrench I needed too but wasn’t going to pay $173 for it lol. So I bought two of the same wrench with a different brand online for $14 because they were scratched so they were sold less than perfect but I didn’t care about that lol.

Does your employer give you a tool allowance?

Back when I was still twisting wrenches, I had a $5000 snap-on roller cab, and that was empty! It got damaged during a move and I never replaced it. Occasionally, I visit the snap on truck when I need one of those one-off tools. The prices are considerably higher than they used to be. 😢

Anyone remember the Napa parts pups?
Sorry I missed those - I worked with OE parts through most of my career.
It looks like they ended that in 1996 - about the same time corporate Snap on, and the rest decided it was offensive to some folks.
Snap On (corporate) and the others, moved on to things like Tool box, and Hot Rod calendars.
Girlie calendars went the way of Playboy, and are probably collector items now.
