We were dropping my wife's car at a shop this morning and the Snap On truck was there . I'm not a mechanic so I never had the occasion to visit a tool truck although I was always curious . I stuck my head in the door and asked if we could come take a look . Of course the guys told us to come on in . Now I know what heaven looks like . 🤓 Of course the prices were out of sight but it was fun .

I just bought my first snap-on, 97ACF needle nose pliers but I opted for the usual ebay experience with slow shipping and a lazy seller. Sigh.

My wife saw a set of scissors / shears . She asked the guy the price . He said he would have to look them up but he thought they were about $50 . Yeah , never mind ..
Yeah but they can hook you up at $5 a week 🤣

I can't believe a torque wrench can cost $3 grand and is able to be connected to the cloud.

I brought a pal's 3/8 ratchet handle to a familiar Snap-On tool truck stop. It was behind a Chevy dealership.
It was skipping under load.
Of the fellow's 6 or 7 replacement gut packs (new ring gear and pawl(s), none fit my pal's oldie.
He ordered 2 sets and told me to see him next week. He thanked me for broadening his coverage.

I've never been in a Snap-on truck, but I do have the pleasure of using Snap-on tools at work whenever I want. We have what I'm guessing has to amount to >$100k worth of Snap-on tools and toolboxes. They are very nice tools, indeed. I hardly ever need to use them, though, since most of my work is done staring at a PC.

Man I wish I could go back in time and take some of the money I spent on the tool trucks 1995-2005 and put it in Apple / Microsoft stock. The tools still work great though which is little consolation 😭
