After a lifetime of buying and using Makita products I've experienced my first letdown with the brand.
When I bought this my dealer told me it was a controversial product with some loving and some hating it. To be fair I was warned.
First two remodels it sailed through with nary a single issue. On its third baseboard job it started to go, then failed.
It started misfiring, and failing to properly drive 3/4 of the way through the job and then failed completely with approximately 10 brads remaining in the job.
More disappointing then Gigli.
Apparently the newer versions are designed and much better.
