Doing what a truck's supposed to do. Honestly one of the best built trucks I've ever had. When I wear this one out I will be looking for another one. Excuse the [censored] pics, I don't know what went wrong but you get the idea.

Looks great to me!! I love that generation of F150. I actually just paid my very last car note 9 days ago, and a clean F150 lightning from around that vintage is on my short list once I save up the cash to buy a second car.

Keep taking good care of her. She looks just great for being 13 years old!

Thanks, It cleans up real well has some minor scratches here and there but nothing major, Interior is real clean as well. I always take good care of it but I'm not afraid to work it either. I would like to get a newer S-Crew one of these days but I don't like the shorter beds, So I will probably get another extended cab.

Thanks, I love em too.

Fantastic looking truck. I love that body style too. We've owned three Expeditions in that style now. A '98, a 2000 (which my parents still own) and my '02. Love 'em!

Thanks. How do the transmissions seem to hold up in those Expeditions? I've been considering one for the wife's next vehicle.

Ours have all had the 5.4L backed by the 4R100. The 4R100 is pretty much bulletproof in this application. It was used behind the 7.3L Powerstroke LOL! So mating to an N/A 5.4L is pretty light duty.

Thanks, I didn't know they used the 4R100 with the 5.4 in them. I assumed everything but the heavy duty stuff got the 4R70W.

Heck, when they are maintained (and not constantly overloaded) they are usually pretty bulletproof behind the 7.3 too. The 4R100 is an awesome trans, IMO, beefy parts everywhere and a super stout o/d setup. I like the overall trans behavior much better than the 4R70 too.

Looking great at work. That's what they're made for. There's some pretty heavy discounts on the '10s now.

(tempting - but gas is approaching the $3 mark once again)

Thanks. Yeah they are nice I'll probably get me a 2010 model in about 13 years or so. What I save not paying for electric or gas to heat my home through the winter easily pays for my expenses on the truck.

Agreed, I love the 4R100!

Clayton, Nice truck. I had a 2002 XL, 4.2 5 speed regular cab, short bed. Put 100K on it in 6 years. Only needed routine maintenance. Had to sell it, as we needed more room. Got roughly 20mpg average. If only my Titan had that kind of reliability...
