When I last changed the oil in my Accord, I used roughly 4.4 quarts of conventional Maxlife 5w30, SM rated. About 1.5 weeks ago, I added a whole bottle of CD-2 high performance oil boost. Just today, I tossed in 1 cup of MMO. What do you think of that mess? When is my engine going to blow up?

I think you will be fine, though in the future I'd skip the MMO, or were you using it to counterbalance the thicker CD-2 STHP Oil Boost?

I just happened to read this thread, and after reading this:

"MARVEL MYSTERY OIL IS NOT, REPEAT NOT an ADDITIVE, MARVEL MYSTERY OIL is a very good QUALITY HIGH CLEANSER oil, its perfectly safe to mix in small amounts with synethetic oil (I try for about 5%-10% by volume, not more) and it helps keep things lubed and rust free if you engine sits for a week or two between running times.I have found it DOES WORK WELL in small amounts to keep your engine clean and rust free"

I decided that 8 oz of MMO in 4.5 quarts of oil won't do anything bad. I don't know if I was seeing things or not, but even after just 5 minutes of running the MMO in my oil, I thought it looked a little bit darker than it was before I added it to my oil.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If you have sludge or weird engine noises that you're trying to get rid of, OK. I'm a little leery of throwing stuff in just to see what happens. I know it's tempting though.

That said, I don't imagine anything bad will happen. I'm not sure that anything good will happen either.

Guess we'll find out!

I know the temptation... may be it would be even more smooth or just a tad bit more silent. Let's just not exaggerate the sillence thing

How about adding Dexron-III in the amounts of that MMO for some ZDDP in older engines?
