Can do that swing. The 9th hole is just behind the fence.
Keep your mouth closed, they tend to explode pretty violently. Trust me on this one, I've hit hundreds of them

edible mushrooms and deadly mushrooms look very similar; i would take a small nibble, chew it, swallow it, wait one hour and see what happens.

Is there a ring on the center of the stem? If so, it looks like some sort of amanita to me. There are some edible ones, but the risk of getting it wrong and having renal failure is not worth it to me to even consider learning the different types of amanita.
I stick to the ones I can tell right away. I was hiking in Quebec and found this huge chicken of the woods

I work in micology.
The real technique is to touch it, and wait at least 30 min. Still alive, touch it to your lips and wait. Then to your tongue and wait. Only then would you consume the smallest bit of flesh.
