I have 2-3 qts of each of these left over and trying to decide where to put them in my 2002 4Runner. 2 qts of MTL-R which is GL5/GL4 75W90 Gear lube. 3 qts of HDS-5 GL5 75W90. Would one be better in the front dif, rear dif, or transfer case in my 2002 Toyota 4Runner?
thanks, Gary

Yes i also guess that MTL-R is for manual transmission. HDS-5 is for differentials. It is to slippy for gearbox.

Well, I know MTL-R is for manual transmissions. I also know the HDS-5 is for differentials. My only guess is if the HDS-5 is for the transfer case. B-)

Many transfer cases use ATF...Though i don't know if yours does too.
