Well, I just received my - Mr Funnel.
This is a 'funnel' with a built-in filter.
The stainless mesh will not only filter out dirt, but will also seperate any water laying in the bottom of the can.

I just put a new engine on my snow-thrower and was 'not' able to add a fuel filter.
So after some internet research, I purchased a Mr Funnel on Amazon.
I bought the Model F1, (their smallest) for $20.00
I have (2) 2 1/2 gallon gas cans.
My goal here was to start with 2 perfectly clean gas cans (inside & out).
Using a paper towel on a stick removed ant dirt stuck to inside of empty can.
After pouring the gas from 1 can to the other, I could see that the funnel did filter out small particles.
Now I had a cleaned can with clean gas.
Clean gas in can = clean gas in tank. My opinion: 2 thumbs up.
I then took the funnel to the gas station, figuring I could filter the gas as I fill the can. No luck.
Although the Model F1 (smallest) will filter 2.7 gallons per minute, it's to small and gas splashed out.
But Mr Funnel does come in larger sizes.
Model F15 (largest) ...... 15 GPM
Conclusion: I am very happy with this funnel and it will be great for gasing-up OPE.
No, I do not work for Mr Funnel.
It's just a great product and someone may benefit from my experience.
