MPL Thirty-K 15w40

Just came across this oil a couple days ago. Kinda impressive. Anybody have a voa or uoa on it? It's an ester based oil and according to them it is compatible with Diesel engines that require CK-4. Base number and HTHS numbers are impressive in my uneducated opinion.

Impressive enough I've never heard of it.
But yeah, 5.5 is nuts for the grade.

I have used their oil on several things. I think you should mark it off your list... I got it cheap on closeout here and there.

I used all of their oils including the 10k and 30k and had VOAs done that weren't impressive and I remember a guy on here that was using their oil with microGreen filters and for the price there are better options

Of course just a few years back anything new was attacked here including HPL and the likes....it's gotten better though.

They claim

6.3 for 20w-50
4.7 for 10w-40
4.6 for 5w-40
3.9 for 10w-30
3.8 for 5w-30
3.2 on their 0 and 5w-20.

All of which are nonsensical since most aren't even near the sae kv100 limit.

This 14.0 kv100 oil claims 5.5 hths? whatever. If this oil is 5.5 hths then I'm michelle obama.

Yeah I noticed that as well. Which raised a red flag but I thought there were some oils that had barely met the kv100 but still had above average hths numbers. It all seemed too good to be true but I wanted to make sure I wasn't falling into marketing.

They also claim 7.2 hths for their motorcycle 20w-50. But claiming 5.0 hths out of a 7.9 hths 20 grade is unhinged.

Well I do know that at least I remember RedLine 5W20 being 3.1.

I think the MPT line was from a man that used to actually sell Redline oil. I don't think I've ever seen a really decent analysis come out of someone using their oils. I don't have any skin in the game so if people use it that's their business.
