What's yours look like when running?
Mine doing work.
Mine doing work.
Probably valves need adjusted and/or an excessively lean mixture.Late Timing?
Stock timing. Probably about 20 to 22 degrees for "emissions" when it should be closer to 30 for maximum power and fuel economy.Late Timing?
Its got the proper carb jet for this altitude.Probably valves need adjusted and/or an excessively lean mixture.
Yeah it's 590cc onto a 1 inch pipe.Metal begins to glow at the temperatures a normal gas engine exhaust can produce when working hard. With it being a straight pipe of thin metal it is completely possible to see the glow and everything be normal.
It's also running wide open I'm running forward speed as fast as I can go without boging down the engine or stalling the blades. That's waaaay too hot,
1) carb adjustment?
2) valve lash?
3) timing, (although most are not adjustable any more)
4) is that a straight pipe exhaust? if so, it's not scavenging and either needs to be larger or add a muffler to expand gas and cool it a bit.
It's been running like since 2021 or 2022.Ain't gunna run long like that to me. What kind of fuel you running? Looks like it's way lean.
The stock muffler was a fire hazard and was kicking up dust. Why not just replace it with a stock muffler?
