Motul 8100 x-cess 5w-40

Must be different from the version available in Oz. 8100 x-cess is PAO here. The other versions of 8100 being Ester based.

Let's get a few things straight. Motul only makes a 0w40 and 0w30 (depending on the market) 8100 Ester based synthetic. There is also a 5w40 PAO 8100 X-cess, and a 5w30 Eco-energy PAO. There is also a 5w40 6100 Techno-synthesise (euro-speak for semi synthetic).

There is no great difference in Motul weights and oils in different world markets that I have seen.
If you are sure there is a 5w40, 8100 E-tech Ester oil, prove it with a link. And I know for a fact there is no 8100 Ester 5w40 in Australia, only the 0w40 - the link above from theguru proves it.

8100 X-cess 5W-40 is renamed 6100 Synergie 5W-40 and mainly PAO based. 6100 10W-40 and 15W-50 are "Technosynthese" oils.
As for 8100 Ester E-Tech, according to numerous Motul pages there is only 0W-40. But Porsche oil list bears also its 5W-40 version. May be it's some kind of a custom blend or a misprint. Today I asked our distributor to check its availability and possibility of supply. Let's see.

My auto parts store and other dealers and service departments have also told me that it's not ester, only the 0w40 (again, only in this country).
Anyway, it's not a huge deal
Teklub page is quite hard to read in a correct way, may be cause of colors. The oil description and its specs are followed by technical data sheet in PDF, i.e. Motul Specific VW 505.01 is presented as follows:

At least you got a reply. I sent an e-mail to Motul months ago and they didn't have the courtesy to reply
Hi Guys.
I have changed my oil today from Mobil1 0w-40 to Motul 8100 X-cess 5w-40 not bad so far.Better performance and reduced engine noise at idle at fully operating temperature.Quality wise Mobil1 is better pure PAO.{2001 2.2L toyota camry}
