Motul 5/30 Eco-nergy HTHS

Anybody know the HTHS of Motuls' 5/30 eco-nergy? Being A5/B5 I assume it's between 2.9 and 3.4.

I don't think Motul puts HTHS on their product data sheets. The oil is thin though at 9.9 cst's at 100C.

I can't get into the English pds at work (through motorspot.com) but here's the French version .

Hmm,. they give hths for some of their other oils.

I'd guess its HTHS is around 3.0 to 3.1 cP judging by it other viscometric data.

Buluesubie; How is the 8100 in your 2.5XT?

I'm switching back to GC (which is what I normally use) for the summer because the Motul is a little thin for my comfort level. Consumption wasn't as bad as I expected though. I only added 1/4 quart in 6k miles.

I went with this oil to see if it help with my winter fuel dilution (5 miles trips each way daily). I have a sample ready to go to Blackstone, but my kits arrived postage due at the p.o. so I have to pick them up this weekend.

I feel your pain. There is something about a 9.5 : 1 AFR that tends to fuel dilute oil. lol
I am down to my last 40qts or so of green, I will probably move to 5/40 RTS when it's gone. Luckily I only put 5K miles a year on my car so the green should last a while. ( as long as my friends stop trying to pilfer the green from my garage )
