hi everyone,
Just wanting to ask for an Australian based (no snow, winter, or below 0 temperatures) the Volvo S60 T6 I have in the manual calls for 6.8L of 0w30 A5/B5 rated oil (manual link) https://www.volvocars.com/au/support/car/s60/13w46/article/4ce54cf8c4ef63adc0a801e80065d43b
But 0w30 A5/B5 is limited in grades and more expensive. I've used the HPR 0 from the local manufacturer here called Penrite: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/penrite-penrite-hpr-0-0w-30-5-litre/636317.html?cgid=SCA01070403&vid=I7CDLlmupUx1dJE90FxcYA==#vid=I7CDLlmupUx1dJE90FxcYA==&start=9
but my question is that I see a similar oil that comes in a 7L size that is rated C2 which states it's compatible and good enough to work where A5/B5 is recommended here: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/penrite-penrite-enviro-c2-engine-oil-0w-30-7-litre/589699.html#q=0w30&lang=en_AU&vid=I7CDLlmupUx1dJE90FxcYA==&start=1
So my question: Can I use a "ACEA C2" rated oil in place of A5/B5 given that it meets or exceeds this rating?
