A lot of people assume that but there isn't any evidence to support that. From what I have found MC is blended by Conoco but it is Ford's recipe. All other conoco oils are blended however Conoco wants to do it. TBN is different by a smidge from what I have seen and I think boron, too.
 
why do u want to run a blend. A friend of mine was using M 1 and went back to mc blend and got one mile to the gallon less, so now he is going back to M1. The only reason he went back to motorcraft was the price, but M 1 is only 23 or 29 bucks for a 5 qt jug. Thats cheap. We both run about 80,000 miles a year , so one mpg is a lot to us...............
