LOL: I didn't really mean that toward Johnny to be snide, but I do like to hear his technical reasons why it is better.

I know...but it was funny what you said. :) I actually apreciate the humor on here. I really would like to know if Johnny does think it's better than MC though. Johnny?

Serouisly, its just a matter of opinion. They are both fine motor oils, flip a coin.

Here is my reason: PYB uses Group II+ base stocks, MC uses a mix of Group II and some Group III, flip a coin on this one. I believe PYB has the better additive package overall.

And the other main reason, Pennzoil supported my family for over 22 years, they helped put my son through college, and they pay my pension and provide my family medical insurance.

MC Syn Blend in 5w20. Less expensive than PYB in that weight, $11.50 v $12.50. That plus, starting with the switch over to 5w20 in 01 MC SY BL was the most readily available 5w20 at Wally in value priced jugs. Been using it since, when others not on sale.

In other weights PYB, because it's less expensive and comes in jugs, MC doesn't.

Price doesn't matter? Flip a coin, can't go wrong with either for an average 5K OCI.

Buy any oil you like for your car. The money from any oil you buy will go toward my retirement, unlike Johnny, is not tied to just one oil company, so buy whatever you like as it pays for my current retirement check month in/month out. I like Motorcraft, and Mobil myself.

I have been a Pennzoil supporter since somewhere in the mid-late '80s and I currently use PP 5w30 in both my POVs, but for 5W-20 I like MC for my niece's Fusion and my sister's and B-I-L's 2 Toyotas.
