Motorcraft Mercon LV ?

I read a post where it said it was ok to use Mercon LV where Mercon SP was previously specd. I have a 08 F250 6.4 auto and was wondering if there would be any benefit changing to the Mercon LV when time comes for transmission service? What is the difference between the two? Thanks for any info.

exactly what i was told at dealer the other day, but they only had sp in stock, so next time i'll use the lv. lv (low vis) i'm sure would be beneficial during cold weather, other than that i have no specifics
