Motorcraft FL-910S CUT OPEN

This was off a base model 19’ Ford Ranger regular cab 2WD truck. I’d guess if I read sticker right about 4,xxx on ford dealer oil and filter. Put a Motorcraft filter back on and some MilesSyn 5w30 blend in. Friend just purchased truck at Ford dealer that’s closing January 3, 2023.

Looks very good. I think these also fit Briggs engines on lawn tractors too.

Another good looking Motorcraft filter. I use MC on my Deere LT150 and the 2005 Jeep. Never a problem with them (FL-400).

Should be good. I go 5k on the Jeep and 1 year on the mower. The mower cut grass in the summer and blows snow in the winter.

On my 2017 Fusion I do 10K on the 910s. On my 2012 Craftsman 21HP Briggs I change oil and the 910s every 2 years.

The S in the 910S stands for a silicone anti-drainback valve.

I've used a few of these on my Ranger with 5k intervals. Always found them to be well put together and no issues when I cut them apart. Seem to be a good filter.

Been using a longer filter for the last few changes, easier to grab them to remove.

In my observation post use anecdotes, generally good results with the 910S. Where space permits, a good choice for OPE Briggs and Kohler engine mower applications. Unfortunately, looks like becoming it's becoming less readily available. Locally, no Walmart stores showing in stock. Depending on what shows up on Google, currently still ~$4 at Amazon. I say that because when I first googled 910S earlier, ~$6 on Amazon.
