FL-910-s with 4000 miles with motorcraft full synthetic 5w-30 cut open and top end cap was disconnected

It would be useful to know the date code. Not good performance from filter, but oil looks good.
There is a piece of glue loose in the center tube. They should use the Boss glue, wonder why they know so little about their oil filters. Because administrators often know little about what is going on in the actual manufacturing.

I know common group think here is this is generally harmless, but wouldn’t it functionally be the same thing as the much disparaged leaky bypass? 🤷

When it's together in the can it doesn't leak like the ripples. Doesn't scream high quality when one of the end caps fall off after cutting though.

If I had to guess the ones with clean dry glue aren’t leaking. The ones with dirty oil on the glue are.

Filters designed with no end caps have special designed center tubes. Like below.

If it's not adhered to the glue and just pops off, I don't see how it's any different than a leaky Fram bypass. 🤷‍♂️ The oil all over the glue seems telling.

I'm not clever enough to figure out how to do a flashlight test on one of those but I don't have a popper anyway.
