Motorcraft Cross Reference

I don't believe there is one (I could be wrong). Motorcraft filters are designed for Fords. There are some that will work, but they are oversized. I have used the FL400s with success...no leaks.

It is MC #FL836 as toomanycars said. It will most likely be a special order item anywhere you go. Ford dealers might stock it, but their price would be higher than what the filter is worth, IMO.

I think Advance stocks some Motorcraft. I'm not sure about Autozone. fwiw-Both stock inexpensive alternatives to Motorcraft and Fram, Purolator (L14476 Prem Plus) and AC/Delco (PF1233) at Advance; STP (S4967?) and AC/Delco at Autozone.

May not help you on your Motorcraft goal, though.

I think they charge like 5 or 6 bucks for a Motorcraft filter at work. We stock it but if you could get a Pureone or other filter for near the same price the effort may not be worth it.

I've been using the FL400s on my Corolla for a while now. It fits good, but is much larger than the 4967. However, it has a silicone ADBV and threaded end bypass, plus a lot more filter media. Also, it gives me enough extra capacity to use a full 4 quarts at each oil change.
