Decided to change the oil in my truck this week (05 F350 with the 6.0) and wanted to give Motorcraft oil a try since it was cheap and easily available at my local China Mart. Any way, I noticed this oil doesn't seem to have a single API type rating anywhere on the bottle? Are these oils not CJ/CK rated at all? I also noticed very boldly the claim of "over 1000ppm phosphorus for added protection" on the new bottles. My truck was just beginning to exhibit signs of needing new oil at 5500miles on the previous fill of Delo 10W30. As most of you know, the HEUI injection system beats the oil up pretty good and when its time to change it you know! They run rough and lack power.

So far so good, shes running very smooth and MPG have went back up to normal. I was shocked to only get 5500miles OCI out of the Delo. Its usually a very stout oil.

IIRC it is CJ4. I used it exclusively in my old 6.0 and plan on using it in my 6.7

I am die hard 7.3. huei beats all oil, I run sae30 summer, 10w-30 winter.
Syn is a waste for cost, 7-8.5k oci and rough passed 6-6.5k.
I know 6.0 and 7.3 are different.
Why not run 10w-30 year around?
