Motorcraft 10w-30 now synthetic blend

My local Walmart now carries (again) Motorcraft oils and filters. The 10w30 is now a synthetic blend like the 5w-20, and the 5w30. The 10w-40 however was not a synthetic.

Thought you might like to know.

With hot weather in southern CAL, would anyone recommend running 10w30 instead of 5W-20 on Fords?

I saw that it is now a blend also.

In SoCal, I think the 5w-20 would still be fine since the engine is designed for it but the 5w30 wouldn't hurt. Run the 5w-20 for 5 thou in the middle of summer, get a used oil analysis, and see what it looks like. I'm betting it will be fine.
