Think the 3.8L grand caravan has a failed thermostat.
(This is how i came to the conclusion, ignore this if you want) I've always monitored the coolant temp on my scangauge, but now it's being weird. typically from cold it'll creep up to about 89-90*C and sit there for the entire drive. Had a massive coolant leak over winter and now that that's fixed it'll creep up to 98*C and then drop back to high 80's and continue its climb until it sits at 91*C. When driving fast or under load it'll fluctuate between the 91 and 98 mark with no real settle point.
The question I'm wanting to ask is, has anyone had any experience with Motorad UltraStat? It's listed as the "heavy duty" option on rockauto and has the best flow rate and lifespan out of the Motorad options for a solid $3 more than the "standard replacement" that i've heard slander about
