yes its a nice truck, but trucks to me are nothing but wheel barrows. go buy a new one at home depot for 70 bucks.

or save yourself a ton of money and get a mid-late 90s 318 ram 1500 for less than two grand. who cares if the interior has fallen apart, its a TRUCK.

It fits the needs of most people who buy half ton trucks today.

Seems a bit luxurious to me, but I guess I have 30 year old thinking in that aspect?

Lots of electronic gizmos to go bad on new trucks ... something that is supposed to be more durable.

I know it seems like it is just "their turn" for once and a while, but the 2013 1500 is a very very nice truck. They have really put a lot into some of their vehicles and the RAM is one of them. I think this is a legitimate frontrunner.

I'm glad to see this. I really like the newer body style. Not a big fan of the previous body style. I think that they have made some nice improvements. My next truck will likely be just a cheap old beater for hunting, etc but if I had a need for a nice new one, I'd be looking at the Ram for sure.

Yep, their check cleared first...

agreed, MT is a curious thing sometimes.

But the new Ram is sharp.

That is a nice truck, my 05 Ram has been a great truck, bought it new, now has 100k and I have changed 2 egr valves, the plugs twice, 1 set plug wires, couple set of tires and 1 battery. Have not even touched the brakes yet. What bothers me now is mpg, these new trucks are doing so well compared to mine. Didnt seem to bother me so much when all trucks were getting 14-15 mpg.

25 mpg is very nice. They are almost getting good enough mpg for me to drive one as my main vehicle. I parked my Dodge Ram when gas hit $1.75 a gallon and only use it when I need a truck. That was 10 years ago!

Pretty much my take on the whole motor trend awards.

Love the new RAM... IMO without a doubt the best looking truck on the road.. I like the candy apple red "sport" with color matched bumpers and dual exhaust... HOTNESS.

What are the problems created by encryption? No tuner chips?

I wonder if this was some sort of a government mandate. So you can't tune them, or you can't hit the bone yards or ebay for a replacement?
