Before u get involved in motor oil, go to the front of this web site and read Motor Oil 101, all 10 chapters,boy did I get an eye opening,,I suggest u read it 2 or 3 times, u will not believe some of the info, we are all in need of education instead of guessing all the time and making uninformed decisions.

Still, probably a good start for someone new to the subject...
 
On the other hand, some of the "inaccuracies" are based upon over-simple conclusions that simply don't hold water (oil?) if you consider the complexities of the issues involved. Dr. Haas may have oversimplified some of his statements, but most of the criticisms of his writings are subject to the same objections.
 
it would be nice if we had an oil professor in here, but we would probably run him off,,,remember male egos are fragile and the cemetery is full of us that knew everthing. amen
