Anyone recommend a good engine flush? My engine is not really dirty. Looked good when I had the intake manifold off. I want a good product to make my engine spotless!

If your engine is clean, & you want it to remain spotless, use RedLine oil. It will keep your engine "as clean as a whistle". It's about $8-$10 a quart, though, & you'll probably have to order it online.

Bottom line is; Your engine doen't have to be spotless to perform flawlessly. But if you just WANT it to be spotless, it's going to cost you.

Any OTC 5-10 minutes flush should work. Since you have a clean engine, you are either performing a good OTC or using good oils.

Since OTC products are overly marked up, make your own flush.
Add one quart of kerosene to the cold engine, start and idle for 5 minutes, then change the oil/filter.

There are 2 types of machines.
One flushes with the vehicle off. Does a good job of cleaning oil passages....But, doesn't do anything to clean 'splashed' areas(where crud/sludge builds up). I recommend a 5-10 minute OTC type flush to get things started prior to using the non running flush.

The other and better machine is one that works while the engine is running. This will clean everywhere oil flows and anywhere oil can get into.
Both are overly priced but the running engine flush, IMO, is best.

Other long term cleaners are Rislone and Marvel. A pint added during every oil change for the entire interval can clean/prevent dirty engines.

Definitely Auto-Rx to clean things up, then LC20 to help keep them that way.

Just my opinion based on very positive experience. I think the solvent-based flushes are much too harsh, Auto-Rx will do it the right way. I might add that LC20 can also be used as a quick flush but I've never tried it in this fashion; this would be the only other item I would even begin to think of using instead of ARX.
