Motor Craft oil ok for Jeep?

Motorcraft is very good oil. Also, with that 4.7L make sure the cooling system is in tip top shape. They are great engines but if they get even close to overheating it can cause issues like dropped valve seats. My dad had a 1999 Grand Cherokee with the 4.7L V8. Great vehicle that he really worked hard.

American branded cars made everywhere else but here... This country used to be the leader in the world of production. Now we are the leader of consumption. Which is not a good thing. Well at least in the oils case, Conoco Phillips is an American company making engine oil with American oil base stocks.

Lots of it is North Slope/Kuparuk/Alpine/Prudhoe etc. (AK being their most profitable area by far) -> TAPS -> refineries directly in the lower 48.


Sure some could be from the ME but with lower oil prices , word is it's more cost effective to refine it from the still profitable fields.

Motorcraft Synthetic blend is a decent oil.
