Trying to decide which oil filter would be best for 3k oil changes. I know literally anything could last that long, but I want to use a premium filter

If i were you I'd just run a fram endurance for about 12-15k miles or 4-5 changes. I know that sounds crazy but it isn't, I frequently take them closer to 20k. 3k on anything is a waste. I've seen them cut open with that little mileage and they're basically brand new. That convinced me to stop chucking them every oci.

^^^ Yes, if running a premium filter with a high mile rating, and doing low miles OCIs, then run the filter for more than one OCI, at whatever level you're comfortable with.

^^^ No. as Blue Oval would say, Fresh oil, fresh filter. 3k I would just go with a Walmart filter. ;)

Microgard Select if you have an Oreilly's Auto.
Purolator One
Fram Tough Guard
No need to run an Endurance for 3k my goodness some of these recommendations. 😆
He said he wants a "Premium" oil filter.

There is pretty much nothing else on the market more premium compared to the Endurance.

Define Premium? Build Quality? Filtering ability? Price :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Endurance filtering spec of 20um is the same as the Fram Tough Guard. For 3K miles they should filter exactly the same.

However countless other brands of filters are likely assembled with more care - at least based on the cut and paste's.

So were back to - define premium?

Premium means not the cheapest filter. I want good filtering properties because I’ll be using either Valvoline RP or Pennzoil platinum. I’m thinking the Fram ultra
