I loved 'em all. Even the money pit Corvettes.
What? You had a D17 civic and never had a head gasket fail in 234,000 miles? You sir had a unicorn.I had the lowest price honda civic in 2001 and had no problems and put 234000 on it...Just because it is the lowest price it still should be a good and reliable car...my Honda was....My Ford Contour was not.. It had many issues right from day one....
Yup, going from 2nd-gen Escort (essentially a rebadged Mazda Protege) to a 1st-gen Focus would be a step backwards.Own one and you'll understand.
We had it's predecessor, a 97 Escort before we had the Gen 1 Focus.
It was a vastly superior vehicle in every aspect (despite looking like a jelly bean).
Two of my favourite cars were base models - a '71 Corolla and an '01 Protege. What's wrong with it? It was their lowest priced car for the time so did you have too high expectations?
I had the 4 and it was crap...Agree 100% had a 98 mercury mistake that car was pure misery , the 2.5 v6 was a real gem only thing good on the car.....
Not all of us are full of cash. I'm still driving my 2002 jeep daily. No way I could afford a car payment right nowYou guys keep cars too long. The longer you keep a car the more stuff will go wrong with it, that's a given. Buy one that checks out good with recent maintenance, and drive it a year or two, then sell and repeat before it needs more work.
Didn't say buy new. Plenty of well maintained $5-10K cars to buy that if bought right you could sell in a year or two for what you paid for it.Not all of us are full of cash. I'm still driving my 2002 jeep daily. No way I could afford a car payment right now
