This thing is so full of holes it is pitiful. In Ms. the Eastern Diamond Back Rattlesnake and the Copper Head are more dangerous than a Alligator.

Gators seldom attack people unless provoked. I have heard of a couple alligator deaths by people walking there dogs and trying to defend the dog, and I know of a specific example of someone loosing an arm trying to retrieve a golf ball - all these fairly recent - last few years. I also know of several people that spend all kinds of time fishing in alligator infested waters and have have never been threatened by a gator.

Now water moccasins I fear. Can't see them.
Only close call I’ve had with gators was when a female had young … Decided we didn’t need those catfish 😵‍💫 Cottonmouth? Can’t believe I never got bit …

In Ohio, more people have died by homicide in the first seven months of this year than have sustained fatal injuries from deer, usually motor vehicle accidents but including at least one goring, since 2018.
So, I'm with those who assert that man is the most dangerous animal.

My dog if she think you might hurt me. I have wondered how a dog can sense that. I am thinking they smell a fear sweat from me. But that's only a guess.

My dog is old, probably cannot see very well, or hear but nothing wrong with her nose.

I read an article that stated if bobcats were allowed back in the northeast there would be fewer human deaths by animals. Basically while in rare cases a human might be attacked by a bobcat there would be fewer deer causing vehicle deaths due to the bobcats taking out lots of deer

This was a theory. Probably based upon past history before bobcats were hunted to extinction in the northeast
