I'm also getting lower than usual gas mileage lately and I'm trying to rule things out; Mos2 is one of them. Of course I'm not saying that's the cause, just checking. I'm averaging around 30-32 lately, when last summer I was averaging 34-35. There are other factors I can think of; new tires sometimes lowers mpg? Also, the MAF could be dirty.
Anyways, we'll see. I still think the Mos2 is a good product.
Just a follow up to this post I made. I'm about 3,000 miles into this OCI w/ Redline. My 30-32 mpg average continued for a while w/ the Redline. Now I don't do the courier job, so the mileage is racking up much more slowly. I'm chalking the mpg drop up to doing more city driving.
Another observation, to me the motor is louder with the Redline as compared to the MC5000/Mos2 mix. I do like the Moly content of Red Line oil, but it's just so expensive. I'll likely try something like a PP/Mos2 mixture on the next OCI.
Metalslug, the oil looked grey to me when I drained it. Same thing when I changed the oil in my brother's Mustang that had Mos2 in it.
