Some parts of the city did not have power yesterday. My house is near the fire station so we are usually not affected by outages. There are some trees that came down and smashed cars, its a good idea to avoid parking under trees. A bunch of debris all over the street. In my neighborhood a power line was hanging low near the sidewalk but thats about it.

We had a nuisance 5 second outage last night...I had all vitals shut down as the surge was quite large and ramped very quickly.

I've gotten used to the sirens, its like music now, lived here long enough. They usually don't sound them until they get to the big street. Not very noticeable at night since there is less traffic. I'm about 1 block away from the station. I used to find the foghorn annoying but got used to that too.

If you lived near the beach, the waves sound nice at night. I wonder how the waves were during the storm.

Man, this storm system is WICKED. Huge deadly tornado outbreak in January.

This is something you rarely see. Fresh tornado damage with snow on the ground! This is in northern Illinois near Rockford.

I'm doing fine, thanks. I was in Sacramento during the storm. Luckily my power didn't go out.
