I read that story today....what the heck is wrong with society when we allow the people who are supposed to protect and serve us....to continue this nonsensical poopoo?

Stories like these are one reason I don't have the sympathy for police officers the way I once did. Too many of them (IMO) joined the force for the POWER it gives them, not to serve and protect the public. Thugs with guns, and a system that will go to great lengths to protect their own. Brilliant.
I hope these knuckleheads are sued, and I hope it costs them dearly. Punks!

Nobody's commenting on the obvious frameup? The police delivered the package full of drugs.

That's not necessarily a frame up........the pot was intercepted....they just stupidly/reasonably assumed the addressed recipients were in on the gig.

What's funny is that this isn't something you pull a storm trooper raid over. Now encroach on a growers crop ..sure ..stop a tractor trailer load ..maybe. Someone transporting 150lbs in the trunk ..they may have a gun.
..but no idiot conducts a major drug operation from their house that's pending on FedEx deliveries to THEIR door. They would have to be simpletons in terms of LEO techniques and whatnot.
So you knock on the door ..surround the house.. and see what's up. I guess it's like firefighters that are idle most of the time. You get a chance to fire up all the equipment ..you do

Oh theyre vicious alright, if youre stupid enough to hold your fingers out for them to ravage on, otherwise all theyre good for is a scratch on the ankle. It does not take much taunting to set them off. Its hilarious to do. If that family thinks a chihuahua is life threatening they should see my dog when he goes red zone at someone. Believe me people dont laugh as with chihuahuas but Ive seen him make several different people have panic attacks or cry after they walked too close to him.
