Actually your sentence isn't necessarily true. Being different doesn't make you by definition better. Standing out doesn't even remotely mean better. The Cybertruck is a prime example. Very different but so far inferior to every truck on the road.In Silicon Valley, we have a term, "Fail fast". There are those who say, "That won't work", "You can't do that", "That's stupid", "We do it this way", etc. Many times they are right.
To be better, by definition, you have to be different.
