Like any testing it's not perfect but show me any other company that has a real test with enough guts to lay it all on the line.
All I hear is an echo.....I guess there is none?
All I know is that I feel confident I'm not getting ripped off by the MFGs that want to stick it to you. $11.75 for Amsoil and $20.94 for the Mopar that test 2nd to last out of 14 oils.
Three of those gear lubes were petroleum and cost less than$6 a qt, ouch.
The testing is from a company that has a history of making questionable or even false claims about the competitors products, and their own, first of all. 2nd, according to a couple of the companies I contacted about the WP's, that so called independant lab wasn't so independant. They had some kind of ties to Amsoil( true? - I would not doubt it but??? ).
Also, how do you explain such big differences between what Amsoil showed for test results and what the mfg's of the other products showed? I found a LOT of inconsistancies between the WP's results on RP for example and what RP posted for data. Are we to disbelieve all these other companies and just take what Amsoil says for the truth? I have seen them say false and misleading things before so why should I believe one thing in the WP's?
One of the big slams on 3 of the oils in the WP's( and RP was one )was failing the copper corrosion test. People were slamming them BIG TIME for that because Amsoil said they failed. Funny but RP says they passed it. TONS of people use RP in MT's & Diff's where that matters. If their product truly would cause problems we would have heard about it long before Amsoil told us. In the WP's they have a viscosity test result on RP( again - the ones I remember the most as it is my preferred brand )where they show it being way off the charts bad. When you look at the data RP gives it is almost identical to Amsoil's data. Who do you believe?
Just 2 examples off the top of my head. I actually posted the differences and questionable results about RP in one of the Amsoil WP threads if you want to go look and see another side of the story vs just believing the Amsoil "truth".
I am sorry if it offends you but I have seen Amsoil lie( about the Moly used in RP as an example ), try and mislead people( using fake look alike API starburst seals as an example ), and on and on. Are the WP's 100% false? probably not. Are they to be taken as 100% accurate? Not even close.
