Moog Pitman Arm: Quality? Price? Counterfeits?

A friend got the Mevotech idler and pitman arms. Said they were way too tight, and of questionable quality. Does Mevotech have two lines of parts, like Moog does?

Sorry, should have checked. On Rockauto I see two lines of Mevotech, with one called "Supreme". My guess is my friend bought the Supreme.

You bought the HD part? What was bad about it?

A-Arms. The rubber bushings cracked in a year of easy highway use.
I may have gotten really old stock, but the rubber still should not have degraded that fast.

AFAIK Mevotech has 3 lines cheap, cheaper and cheapest.

Last I owned a Jeep, I put Moog steering parts on it. That was 10 years ago. At that time Moog had a cheap Chinese-made product line, and a very good American-made product line. I don't remember what the American-made product line was called.

I don't know what the current situation is with Moog.

Ive had the same issue with the junk rubber from Moog, it's much worse when the parts see sunlight like on a 4wd truck TRE boots and UCA bushings Crack way too soon.
