I guess I have two questions of you kind folks:

1) Do you feel that a moly additive to Rotella 5-40 T syn would be worthwhile in a 7.3 PSD, and

2) if yes is the answer to question #1, can you recommend an additive to bolster moly?

Thanks guys!

I would think that it would be a great oil. I use it in my diesel engine (and bikes). As regards molybdenum, sorry, can't help you.

John.

You could also use Schaeffer oil as well. Either the 5w-40 or the 15w40 (The 15w40 tests like an 8w-40, but then ppl wouldn't buy it).

I use Delo 400 in the warm season, but switch to Rotella 5-40 syn for the winter (sure makes for a smoother and easier start at zero). I think I have found the solution though, Valvoline Synthetic Oil Treatment.

Guys Give LONG RIDER a Hard Look ! I Use it in every thing that has a motor ! From a Fleet of Dodge 3500 to VW TDI To The Grasshopper Lawn mower ! This Oil Is Outstanding.
