MolaBrew Oil Question

Hello,
About 3,000 miles ago, I added Schaeffers #132 and Lube Control in a 3 to 1 ratio to my motor oil. I am combining the mixture with Amsoil's Series 2000 0w30 motor oil.

My question is the following: After the initial 25 mL/quart, should I need to add more of the #132/LC mixture if doing extended drain intervals?

After adding the intial amount of 125 mL, I was thinking about continuing to add 25 mL of #132/LC to every new quart of motor oil that I use to top off my sump after an oil filter change. My intent would be to make an effort to keep the ratio of #132/LC to motor oil the same at all times. Is this unnescessary? Is this a waste of time and money?

I am also currently adding 1 oz. of Lube Control for every 1000 miles I am putting on my Isuzu Trooper.

I plan to take regular oil samples in a effort to see how the #132, Lube Control, and extended drain intervals are effecting my vehicle.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You could use the brew with each "top-off" of oil added.

If you are not topping off, use subsequent doasages of LC, less the #132.

I use the brew in several cars and I top off with LC about evry 1000 miles. Whether you use plain LC or the brew probably makes no difference. I am also using the 0W30 and the brew in a Rodeo. It seems to beat the oil up on mine, the 0W is better then the 10W so far and the brew has helped but after 5000 miles the UOA is not great as to wear metals.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question. It's nice to see that you both recommend something I was thinking about trying.

Let me see if I understand you correctly. Are you saying that you believe the #132/LC mix negatively affects the chemistry of the 0W-30? Secondly, do you have a by-pass system installed on your Rodeo?

Since I am using Amsoil's Dual-Remote, I am hoping that the combination of better filtration and the #132/LC mix will allow me to keep my wear metals down and to easily acheive 12,000 to 16,000 miles on the 0w30 in the process.

No, I think the 0W30 holds up better in the Rodeo then the 10W30 and the brew has definitely helped to improve the UOA. I got the lead under control but now the iron wear seems to be high. Could be weather related but the 0w and brew hold up better then what I had been using. No bypass filter.
