There are two separate "Warren" companies,

1) Warren Oil Company/Unilube out of Dunn, NC, Memphis, Ark.,

2) Warren Distribution is out of Omaha, Neb., and Shenandoah, Iowa, and have the Accel brand for export only. Their house brand is Mag1 but like 1) above, they provide a lot of house (private label) brands.

Dexron VI is the current replacement for all previous and current Dexron fluids in GM AT's.

I know there are two warrens, and I made reference to both of them. That's the second time in this thread you've told me Dex VI is the current fluid for gm at's, which is why I said that. I was reiterating your point. Thanks again for the information. I was legitimately interested in the answer to the op question.

Napa sells "Type FA" fluid as a replacement for both Type F and Type A.

My Bronco "requires" Type F in the power steering. When I replaced the steering box and lines several years ago, I refilled it with Mercon. It works just as well.

Are you sure about that? I thought Type FA was used where Type F was specified but has nothing to do with Type A. Valvoline doesn't mention Type A in their description for FA, and the recommendation list for the NAPA product only lists Fords, not GM vehicles.

Here is the PI sheet for Valvoline Type FA

Quote
Type FA is a high quality non-friction modified fluid. It is designed to meet the Ford specification M2C33-F. It is recommended for use in all Ford passenger car automatic transmissions prior to the 1977 models as well as many 1977 through 1980 models.
