That is sad. Maybe Mobil (or Mobile?) should change the name.
I'm convinced that anyone who spells it that way surely has a mullet and thinks Coors Light is good beer.

They've also got the Mobil 1 4-quart jug on sale for $17 and change at my local AAP.
Wonder if it's on sale in Mobil, Alabama?

Funny thing last time I was in Virginia all I found were people with their heads wrapped in towels/turbins.

This flyer was probably proofread by someone in Bangalore who thinks MS SpellCheck is the be all and end all of editorial excellence.Quote:

Is proof-reading a lost art?
2 Things:
1) Most spell checkers would recommend mobile if mobil was entered in lower case.
2) The person who puts the ad together probably doesn't know much about oil and is most likely not even employed by AAP. My guess is that it is an outside marketing company.
But it is fun pointing out other people's errors...

Maybe it's spelled that way intentially becouse it's made with special Yugoslavian base stocks that are better than regular Mobil. You'll have to check your date codes and see if it smells like PEZ candy. The best is the older version that has paisley color to it. The only retailer for it in the U.S. is some Advance Auto stores in Mobile. Please,no hoarding.
JAG, We all know that America does not have verymany good beers. Thank goodness for the micro brewer explosion! When I moved back to the USA I had to give up on beer and just stick with spirts. Now for the mullit part that is just wrong! We ought to leave the mullet in the past were it belongs. I saw a guy with a mullet the other day and I started laughing and pointing in public. I went from mature respectable grown man down to 16 year old disrespectful teenager in about 3 seconds! I had to leave the area since I could not stop my laughing and pointing.
Cheers to that JohnBrowning! My wife and I love pointing and laughing at mullets too. We see some great mullets in Northeast Tennesse where she is from, but no state is immune from mullet-tude!
Probably some advert graphic artist sitting behind a PowerMac sipping Starbucks who gets the oil changed in their Corolla at Jiffy Lube. Ever notice how practically every advert in print that shows a web browser page shows it displayed in Apple's Safari web browser?
