Mobile 1 0W-40 with TFSI

Lake Speed Jr started my paranoia with his "when you shouldn't use Mobil 1 0W-40" video. I now recognize the concern is not applicable, especially with API SP. I'll continue to use Mobil 1 0W-40 FS without concern.

I think I read it somewhere on the forum here, is there any truth to the base oil of the current SP formulation is now a Group III oil? Also, what Mobil formulation that is currently on the market uses GTL base oil, the ESP family? Thanks.

Audi does not have LSPI problems. Have run the old SN formula without issue

Mobil 1 0w40 FS has contained Group 3 since the beginning of SN via their VISOM base stock.

I do not know about ESP or Mobil 1's use of GTL.
