I have a 05 ram 3.7 v6.Would the mobil 7500 syn blend be safe for 5k mile oil changes? I have 5900 on this engine .The price of this oil is not bad 2.45 at walmart @3.00 at az. thanks

Just about any API SM oil is fine for 5K changes...you'd be wasting money if you ran Mobil 7500.

Since the engine takes 5W30, run the cheapest 5W30 API SM rated dino you can find. SuperTech 5w30 conventional is only $5.50 or so for a 5qt jug at Walmart, why spend 2x money for Mobil 7500?

These mobil oils are new blends ,that is why I asked the question.I understand what you are saying about the price but piece of mind is worth something . thanks for the response.

So? Aren't all API SM oils blends to a degree? Its not like you're planning to run the oil for a super-long drain (where a blend may help).

Mobil makes excellent oil. Remember you can also get Motorcraft for just over $2 and TropArtic for well under $2, both synthetic blends. Any of these would be more than adequate for a 5K run.
