I have never seen a 3800 throw a bearing, except in cases of extreme coolant leaks. Any chance you used a stop leak in your coolant? Sometimes they contain lots of copper and if you have the famous Dexcool leaking intake gaskets it could be getting in the oil. Restore is also packed with metal if I remember correctly. Keep an eye on the coolant level and change your lower intake gaskets when you get a chance.

I didn't have any coolant in the UOA, haven't had a need for any additive in the coolant and haven't used Restore since the first time I tried it maybe a couple years ago but I do plan on doing a coolant flush and later the lower intake gaskets (I already did the upper) if my next UOA doesn't show the same copper/lead problem. I have a complete turbo build and 1.9 RRs, 90# springs, titanium LS type retainers, and viton valve springs waiting in my garage but I don't want to rebuild the engine afterwards, so I'm waiting for my next oil change to see the results.

THIS IS A TURBO ENGINE ? You did not mention that before! Do you mean supercharged ? I knew some of these engines were supercharged from the factory.

So did you add a TURBO or is this supercharged?

Either way, it explains a lot if you "get on it a lot", could be the turbo or supercharger bearings, often they only last about 70,000 miles.

No, this is a UOA from a NA L36 in a '99 Buick Regal LSX stage 2 clone (just means it has a couple bolt ons from SLP). I haven't installed the turbo kit yet, that was the other reason I wanted to do this analysis. I do have some other bolt ons I did but nothing of significance. I also scan and tune with the HPT software to make sure I keep the tune updated with the seasons.
