I change my oil and filter every 3K to 3.5K miles. All in town drivingMobil Super is more of an entry level synthetic like the store brand, $24 for 6qts is what I'd consider to be a normal price for it.
Is it as good as Pennzoil Ultra 5w30?look at the ratings . It is as good as any oil in its price tier.
Is it as good as Pennzoil Ultra 5w30?
Pennzoil's high end oils are likely to use more advanced additives from Infenium likely they use organic additives that don't show up on VOAs. Mobil Super Synthetic and Mobil Synthetic likely just rely on old school additive technology and lesser group III base oils whereas Pennzoil's high end use mostly GTL base oils . The Pennzoil is a superior product but for 3000mi changes, I doubt you'll ever notice the differenceIs it as good as Pennzoil Ultra 5w30?
Define as good as? Marketing claims? Will you engine last longer? What oil will allow your engine to out live your owners ship ? Other than poor quality parts are we seeing any one wear out engines? Is it as good as Pennzoil Ultra 5w30?
For a package of 6 individual quarts, yes, I would say that's a good deal.Is this a high grade full synthetic oil and was this a good price I paid?
I bought a package of 6 quarts for $23.27. Is that a good deal?
Just recently I found a new 5 quart jug at Walmart of Quaker State full synthetic 5w30 for $15.00.For a package of 6 individual quarts, yes, I would say that's a good deal.
This is Mobil's entry level synthetic. Nothing wrong with it...it will work just fine for your usage.
correct my friend. I just try buying deals when I see them.So in comparison the Mobil deal was not as good.
that short of an oci with even the cheapest synthetic and you'll be fine.I change my oil and filter every 3K to 3.5K miles. All in town driving
NICE.My NAPA was selling 6qt cases for $1 a quart, so $6 a case. I bought I think 5-6 cases. Planning to use the 5w20 my next oil change.
It was older stock oil, thus the cheap price, still API SN rated.
I actually made a mistake looking at this thread and thought it was Super 5000, of which I got the majority of. I got that in 5w20, 5w30, and 10w30. However, I did get $1 Mobil Super Synthetic API SPI rated in 0w20 for 5 quarts, but my dad is just using it as topoff oil now, so we won't be able to judge a full OCI on it.NICE.
I get it at Rural King “manager special” $13.99 5quartsMy NAPA was selling 6qt cases for $1 a quart, so $6 a case. I bought I think 5-6 cases. Planning to use the 5w20 my next oil change.
