I just noticed Mobil Super 3000 full synthetic oils appearing in Australia.

It's priced below the premium product Mobil-1. Does anyone have any experience using the Super 3000?
It comes in a number of flavours.

Formula V 5W30 which is API SN, ACEA C3, VW 504/507, MB 229.51, Porsche C30, BMW LL-04,
KV100 = 11.65 cSt, SA = 0.8%, PP = -45C

Formula G 5W30 which is API SN, ACEA C3, Dexos2,
KV100 = 11.9 cSt, SA = 0.8%, PP = -36C

All-In-One 0W20 which is API SP, ILSAC GF-6A,
KV100 = 8.5 cSt, SA = 0.8%, PP = -42C, TBN = 7.5, HTHS = 2.6cP

Formula D1 5W30 which is API SP, ILSAC GF-6A and Dexos1-Gen2.
KV100 = 10.9 cSt, PP = -45C.

X1 Formula FE which is API SL (due to high ZDDP, but meets SN engine test requirements), Ford M2C913-D, ACEA A5/B5.
KV100 = 9.8 cSt, SA = 0.8% (I expected higher?), PP = -39C.

X2 All-In-One 5W40 which is API SN, ACEA A3/B4, MB 229.3, VW 502/505, Porsche A40.
KV100 = 14 cSt, SA = 1%, PP = -42C,

A nice selection, and for me far more affordable than M1 which is quite expensive here.

Widley available over here in the UK. I can't remember if I've personally used it before but I know a number of people who use nothing but Mobil Super without any issues. I think we have two different types over here, Mobil Super 2000 and Super 3000.

It carries approvals and comes from a major manufacturer. No risks I can see! I'd purchase it myself at the right price point.

I understood the OE VW oils are just these re-branded for their 502 and 504s.

Interesting, the Formula-V with 504/507 did look good to me. It must have a high HTHS (>= 3.5 cP) to be C3, and that low pour point may suggest some PAO in its formation.

Yes, they also have two Mobil Super 2000. They are both semi-synthetics.
A 5W30 that is API SP & ILSAC GF-6A, and a 10W40 that is just API SP (no ACEA spec, which is unusual for here).

As you said, a major manufacturer with approvals, so no problem at the right price.

I got this today filled by Bosch service.
Non psa norm, strange. Anyway, high hths is always welcome. Never had C3 , but been thinking about it.

3cyl quieter nvh than half year old 5w40 A3. Let's see how long it lasts.
