I would say ,,,,lets wait to see how it holds up after some used oil analysis come in.

Greater heat & cold protection.... longer OCIs greater cleaning abilities are common with synthetics. We've been over this a million times here at BITOG. Yes... your typical synthetic family of any oil manaufacturer are better than dinos of their family.quote:

Just wanted to add this, a lot of people on this site think if something is synthetic , it is automatically superior to a non- synthetic ,this is not true. Without a carefully balanced additive package synthetic means nothing.
I remember reading it here. It's just an average... not gospel. This is the only oil shop I visit. It's in the archives here somewhere. That should not be surprising! That number is about-norm for that price structure (7500) industry. If the syn-blend oil is a buck for a quart, don't expect it to have as much synthetic base. It may be as low as 5%.quote:

What type of Havoline is that?quote:

So there is a comparison of M 7500 and Havoline/Chevron. Clearly the differences relate to Mobils use of Antimony(shows up as NA) while Chevron uses more Moly and no Antimony. Plus we have heard that M 7500 is mostly group III oil. M 7500 looks good to me.code:

Steve: What you say is true but if I'm paying the same price then I'd prefer the PAO which is still better than Gr.III in the extreme cold. If Mobil 1 were $5 a quart and a good Gr.III (synth) like Castrol,Texaco etc..were 3.50 then I'd go with the Gr. III.quote:

As far as comparing it to Havoline Syn Blend, I don't think we have any data on it.code:
