I`ve read on a few different forums that the different grades are comprised of different bases. For example,I read the 15W50 is a grp IV/V oil.

Mobil 1 oils are a mix of groups. No one outside the company knows the ratios as it is a secret.

I would say 7500 is a safe bet for regular M1. I wouldn't trust 15,000 with EP.

Many of the used oil analysis show the TBN is shot way before most people think.

It does depend alot of driving style, miles, weather etc.

Actually their web site says Mobil Clean 7500 is good for 7500 miles, not the M1 badged oils. My OCI for regular M1 has been 10,000 miles. A friend where I used to work runs 15,000+ mile OCIs on regular M1 in his 99 Silverado and now has 250,000 miles on it.
