Hello to all,
OK I went to my local store to get/try some of that new Kendell "synthetic" oil and came up zero!!! I saw the standard M1 on the shelve and was going to get that as it's my usual standard BUT next to it was M1 "Truck and SUV" formula for the same price of $7.99/quart. What's the difference/big deal???
Is this version any different or better than the standard M1???
I went ahead and got 6 quarts for my next OCI. What do you all think?

I think that there's way too many Mobil products. Seriously.

Just on the dino side (feel free to include any I've left out):

Mobil 1000
Mobil 2000
Mobil Clean 5000

Only Mobil could pull this off. QS just makes it look like they have a lot of products by changing the same dino's names around. Or adding extra words to it. :)

What are you smoking?

I think those are only sold in Canada.

Guys/Gals,

Thanks for your postings on the issue..... You all right as the variations of the M1 is loads!!!!! Still though regardless I figured it would be at least an equivelent to the standard M1 since the price was the same.

Again I really wanted to get the Kendell"synthetic" version in 5w30 as the price was well with in my price range but they had absolutely non on the shelve so the price I last saw was $4.99/quart was a steal. I guess everyone had the same idea.

Oh well there's always a next time.

Not knocking it btw, just the naming thing (didn't know they named some of them differently up here). I won a $100 fuel & fuel additives coupon book from Can Tire, and with Mobil being one of the sponsors, there might be some decent deals on it (its otherwise more expensive than most other big name oils). It probably won't arrive until November though.

Edit: this also might explain why I've never actually seen MC5K anywhere other than on here - here its probably the Mobil 1000 I see everywhere, if 2000 is their High Mileage oil.
