I saw the Mobil 1 Truck/SUV formula next to the usual Mobil 1 TriSynthetic (gray bottle) that I usually get for the vehicles.

What's the difference? Should I run the Truck formula in my 04 HD?

There is no more Tri-Synhetic. SuperSyn base is what T&S lacks, as well as the alkalated naphthlene. It's an older formula and not part of the SuperSyn line probally a higher ester content. T&S is very similar to Delvac-1, the only SS oil to compare it to is M1 0w-40. I'm sure some more experienced members can shed more light on it. I prefer the 5w-40 as consumption is lower than the SS grades, excepting 15w-50.

Mighty...the M1 Tri is a 15-50 oil...run that..the new motor seems to like it with the cam shoes etc...I have a '90 evo motor and have been playing with the HDEO 15-40 for the past year which seems to be working fine..but my motor has an oil cooler,S%S oil pump, roller rockers to create less friction and better oil cooling...also ...run the stock 10 micron oil filter..

I did forget to mention that they had it in various weights. I THINK it was 10w40.

I guess I'll stick to the regular M1 then =)

Thanks for the fast replys!
