Mobil 1 M1-110A filter cut open

It peels right off.. That's interesting. Such a filter with a long OCI on the wrong engine could cause a potential serious problem.

they’ve been tearing.
They are now Mann+Hummel made ... like the Purolators are now too.
I have been a long-time customer of both Mobil 1 oil and filters specifically the Mobil 110A, when I found out after calling the Mobil 1 tech line, they verified that Champ no longer made their filters, they were Mann-Hummel, specifically Purolator sourced. Thanked him for the information, indicated that this was disappointing and they had lost me as a filter customer. I have switched to Honda factory filters, essentially a Fram in a blue can. used oil analysis haven't shown any increase in particle count and Honda warranties their cars with these filters, so one less thing to obsess about. Mann-Hummel seems to cheapen everything they acquire and have them sourced wherever, a constant change. The Mobil 1 filters are definitely overpriced for the quality, got tired of playing Wack-A-Mole with filters and just use Honda. With my 4-5k intervals, they seem to work well.
What about there oil? Mobil 1 still good? Just bought 2 gallon of Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w30 and fram endurance going into my cobra this afternoon

yes they still make a high quality oil
I will continue to use Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w20 and 5w30 EP as they have performed well for me.
Definitely not worth the +$10 price.
